Online Course Compare

OnlineCourseCompare is a web application I built to help users search, filter, and compare online courses across major platforms like Udemy, Coursera, and edX. The idea came from the growing number of online learners struggling to choose the best course among many. This tool solves that problem by organizing and visualizing course data with filters for price, rating, platform, and level.

Tech Used

Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Bootstrap, CSS Modules

Backend: FastAPI, SQLite

Data Collection:

• Python + BeautifulSoup to gather course details
• API integration (Udemy via RapidAPI)

Deployment:

• Frontend hosted on Vercel
• Backend hosted on Render

Analytics & SEO Tools:

• next-sitemap for automatic sitemap and robots.txt generation
• next/head used for setting page metadata and structured content
• Integrated with Google Search Console for indexing and Google AdSense for monetization
